Slow Cooker Crack Chicken

A delightful dish combining creamy, cheesy chicken with ranch seasoning, perfect for busy weeknights and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker, ensuring they are spread out evenly for even cooking.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix over the chicken. Make sure to coat all pieces for maximum flavor.
  3. Add the cream cheese on top of the chicken. This will melt into a creamy sauce as it cooks.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. The chicken is ready when it shreds easily with a fork.
  5. Use two forks to shred the chicken in the slow cooker and mix it well with the cream cheese and seasoning.
  6. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and let it melt into the warm chicken mixture.
  7. Top the dish with crumbled bacon and sliced green onions for added flavor and crunch.

Notes

You can substitute the chicken with turkey for a leaner option. Feel free to use reduced-fat cream cheese for a lighter version. If you prefer a little heat, consider adding some diced jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
