Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
1 egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons olive oil
Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled feta cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the burgers are browned and cooked through. Make sure to flip them gently to avoid breaking apart.
In the same skillet, remove the burgers and set aside. Pour in the diced tomatoes and heavy cream. Stir well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Return the cooked burgers to the skillet, spooning the tomato cream sauce over each patty. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Don’t overmix the meat to keep the burgers tender. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they are cooked through.
