Ingredients
2½ lb ground turkey
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp oregano
½ tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp basil
2 tsp minced garlic
½ yellow onion, diced
2 zucchini, chopped
2 bell peppers, chopped
1 tsp garlic salt
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp oregano
½ tsp basil
½ tsp chili powder
¼ tsp paprika
6 oz. tomato paste
½ cup water
Instructions
Brown the turkey: In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey, season, and cook until browned, about 7-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Sauté onion and garlic: Add olive oil, then diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 3 minutes until fragrant.
Add vegetables: Toss in chopped zucchini and bell peppers. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
Season vegetables: Sprinkle seasonings over vegetables and cook for about 5 minutes until tender.
Combine and simmer: Return turkey to skillet, stir in tomato paste and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve: Optionally top with Parmesan cheese and serve hot with garlic bread or over rice.
Notes
Use fresh herbs for better flavor. Ground turkey can be replaced with ground chicken or beef.
