Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • Sprinkles (seasonal colors)
  • Candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Add the chocolate chips, sprinkles, and candy eyes.
  6. Shape tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  8. Cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking. Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor.
