Cauliflower Steaks with Marinara

A delicious twist on dinner featuring hearty cauliflower steaks topped with rich marinara sauce and gooey cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the cauliflower: Slice the cauliflower into thick steaks, about 1-inch thick.
  3. Season the steaks: Brush both sides with olive oil and season with garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Roast cauliflower: Arrange the steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast for about 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Add marinara: Remove from the oven and top each steak with marinara sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Melt the cheese: Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Cut cauliflower evenly to ensure even cooking. Use fresh basil for garnish.
